Agricultural Production Financing

No votes yet

“Production credit may range all the way from very short term loans for harvesting crops to loans running over a period of two to three years for financing the purchase of breeding stock, installing modern equipment or carrying out soil improvement practices,” writes the American Bankers Association’s Executive Manager. This document, prepared in 1951, is surprisingly instructive today as a basic guide to lending for farm production. It contains forms and worksheets useful for farmer customer analysis that could easily be converted into useful spreadsheets, along with banker checklists and useful advice that remains relevant.
